Sarah Blau brings widely ranging experience as a certified physician assistant to Beaufort Memorial Orthopaedic Specialists, where she works alongside its board-certified orthopedic surgeons to diagnose and treat disorders of and injuries to bones and joints.

• Orthopedic Medicine – Diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal diseases and disorders, like arthritis, fractures, broken bones, joint replacements, and osteoporosis.
• Urgent Care Medicine – Medical care provided for illnesses or injuries which require prompt attention but are not serious enough to require the services of an ER.

Background

Before joining the practice in 2022, she had been a physician assistant at Beaufort Memorial Express Care & Occupational Health Care in Okatie. She includes urgent care medicine among her professional interests.

Mrs. Blau came to Beaufort Memorial after three years at IHA Urgent Care in Ann Arbor, Michigan. There her demanding PA role comprised clinical evaluation and treatment of patients both in person and virtually as well as administrative and leadership responsibilities.

Earlier she worked as a PA in urgent care and occupational health settings in Metro Detroit and in a Parkersburg, West Virginia, hospital emergency department with 45,000 patient visits yearly.
