As a clinician, I always strive to learn the newest information, but my most important goal is to invest time in listening and getting to know my patients, and ultimately empowering them with the knowledge that will enable them to take an active role in their health.”

A board-certified physician assistant, Kristen Johnson joined the gastroenterology team at Beaufort Memorial Lowcountry Medical Group in 2018 after working 10 years in a busy Ridgeland, South Carolina, family practice office treating patients with acute and chronic illnesses. Previously, she worked as a PA at the Beaufort Memorial Pratt Emergency Center.

At Lowcountry Medical Group, she works closely with board-certified gastroenterologists Drs. Richard Stewart and John Crisologo and physician assistant Kimberly Thorpe in the prevention and treatment of disorders of the digestive system.

A Ridgeland native, Mrs. Johnson graduated with honors from Thomas Heyward Academy. She and her husband Warren, a local attorney and judge, have twin daughters, Amelia and Madeline. They enjoy spending time outdoors especially on the boat where they love to explore new places and expose their children to the many spectacular sights and activities of the South Carolina Lowcountry.
