About Dr. H. Jones
"I enjoy orthopedics because it is a specialty that continually changes and becomes more sophisticated. This translates into improved outcomes and a better quality of life for my patients."
A board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr. Kevin Jones brings extensive and widely ranging skills and experience to his practice of orthopaedic surgery at Beaufort Memorial Orthopaedic Specialists. He is expert in the assessment, preservation and restoration of joint function, specializing in total hip and knee replacement.
Areas of Expertise
- Joint Pain Management – Whatever the cause of joint pain, conservative measures including medication, physical therapy and injections can often help.
- Hip Replacement – After conservative treatments are exhausted, it may be time to consider surgical removal of the damaged bone and cartilage and replacement with prosthetic components.
- Knee Replacement – Knee arthroplasty surgically replaces the weight-bearing surfaces of the knee joint to relieve pain and disability, when conservative measures no longer work.
- Mako Robotic-Arm-Assisted Knee & Hip Replacements – When the Mako SmartRoboticsTM system is used in minimally invasive joint replacement procedures it enables the surgeon to implant the prosthetic hip or knee components with greater precision and accuracy, resulting in better outcomes.
