Dr. Elizabeth Huntley came to the Beaufort Memorial Hospitalist Program from medical residency in 2020. As a pediatric hospitalist, she assesses infants and children in the emergency department and oversees care for pediatric inpatients, providing medical consultations as needed.

A desire to help sick children get better, thus improving life for them and their families in far-reaching ways, informed Dr. Huntley’s choice of pediatrics as a specialty. Infectious diseases, preventive medicine—including education on the importance of wearing helmets and water safety—and quality improvement are among her professional interests.

An experienced medical researcher, she has contributed to studies on such topics as pediatric venous thromboembolism and pediatric smoke exposure.

Dr. Huntley and her husband, Fielder, love cooking, outdoor living (cycling, boating and hiking are favorite activities) and their miniature dachshund, Oscar.
