At the Orthopaedic Specialists practice, which is renowned for minimally invasive knee and total hip replacement, William L. Schreffler assists Dr. Jones during replacement surgery and provides postoperative patient follow-up. He assists in a wide variety of other orthopedic procedures and surgeries as well.

• Orthopedics – Diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal injuries, diseases and disorders, like arthritis, tendonitis, fractures and broken bones.

Background

Mr. Schreffler, a board-certified nurse practitioner, returned to Beaufort Memorial in summer 2016 to join Beaufort Memorial Orthopaedic Specialists. Highly regarded by colleagues and patients alike for his friendliness and competence, he works alongside board-certified orthopedic surgeon Dr. Kevin Jones in the diagnosis and treatment of bone and joint disorders.

Earlier, he spent eight years as a perioperative registered nurse, five of them at Beaufort Memorial, where he was promoted to general surgery team leader.

Beaufort residents, Mr. Schreffler and his wife, Kelly, have two boys. In his spare time, he enjoys practicing the martial art of Brazilian jujitsu and spending time with his family.
