About Dr. Marlena Masavage
“I love getting to know my patients on a personal level and supporting them through life's challenges, from infertility and loss, to pregnancy and childbirth, to menopause and beyond.”
Dr. Marlena Masavage, a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist, came to Beaufort Memorial Obstetrics & Gynecology Specialists from medical residency. Together with fellow physicians and nurse practitioners at the practice, she provides expert, compassionate care for women of all ages.
Enjoying all aspects of her OB-GYN specialty, Dr. Masavage offers patients pregnancy care from conception through delivery as well as general gynecology and gynecological surgery services. Among her professional interests are contraception planning, adolescent GYN care, laparoscopic surgery and high-risk obstetric care.
A dedicated student and student leader both at the undergraduate level and in medical school, she accumulated an impressive array of academic and leadership awards and honors. As an American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists District V junior fellow, she was a district officer and Japanese Exchange Program representative. During her graduate studies she also participated in the Global Health Track, serving rotations in Kenya and China, and earlier volunteered more than 100 hours at the free University of Kentucky Salvation Army Clinic.
In her leisure time, Dr. Masavage likes to be with family and friends, travel to new places and relax on the beach with a good book.
