Amy L. Hane, BSN, RN

Amy Hane began her career in nursing as a chemotherapy infusion nurse. After spending time in medical oncology, she felt a calling to care for hospice patients; transitioning from being a nurse to patients during their battles to a nurse walking alongside them on their final journeys. Following hospice care, she received her professional certification in healthcare management and worked for the local military bases to ensure our military soldiers and their families were receiving timely, appropriate care through referred services.

Ultimately, her heart called her back to her roots in oncology and she spent many years serving at Naval Hospital Beaufort and Beaufort Memorial Hospital as the breast nurse navigator. Her favorite part of that job was having the ability to educate newly diagnosed clients and watch them step out of the darkness of fear and into the light of empowerment through knowledge.

She feels fortunate to be able to practice what she loves - empowerment through knowledge - in her current role as oncology imaging nurse navigator.
