About Catherine Healy
"I believe that everyone has the ability within themselves to navigate their health needs. The saying 'It takes a village' certainly applies to the medical field. I feel privileged to navigate, support and educate my patients alongside their journey with the providers and medical team."
Catherine Healy joined Beaufort Memorial Hospital in April 2023. As an oncology nurse navigator, Healy helps patients manage all aspects of care. She will:
- Answer questions about your care (including many questions you may not know to ask).
- Connect you with resources and services that benefit your overall well-being.
- Help manage and schedule appointments with your multidisciplinary care team, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience.
- Offer emotional support to you and your family.
- Provide expert information about your diagnosis, treatment options and what to expect along the way.
- Develop a survivorship care plan, when appropriate, to help you transition into life after cancer.
Healy started her nursing career at Emory University Hospital in the cardiac step-down unit and later transitioned into community health, OBGYN and pediatrics. She also worked in ambulatory care nursing.
Healy is a native Floridian who has returned to the east coast after living out west for almost two decades. She is married and has two adults sons whom she adores.
She enjoys physical fitness, travel, thrifting and being outdoors, especially near water!
