About Dr. John Crisologo

“My goal is to provide the most knowledgeable care, safe and proven procedures, and the latest in medical techniques combined with caring and compassion.”

Dr. John Crisologo joined Beaufort Memorial Lowcountry Medical Group in 2003. In his practice of gastroenterology, he employs a wide range of traditional and leading-edge methodologies and displays genuine caring for his patients.

Among his professional interests are GI cancer prevention and treatment, inflammatory bowel disease, liver disorders, advanced endoscopy including ERCP, enteral stenting and ablation of Barrett’s esophagus.

He performs more than 1,200 procedures yearly—including esophagogastroduodenoscopy, colonoscopy, gastrostomy tube placements, sigmoidoscopy and video capsule endoscopy—and has performed more than 1,000 advanced endoscopic procedures. Dr. Criosologo’s broad-based nutritional knowledge is especially useful for bariatric and transplant patients.

He and his wife, Kristina, have three children. When not treating family and friends to his latest kitchen creation, he enjoys photography, music, motorcycles and sailing.
