About Dr. Stephen Fedec
"I strive to provide outstanding patient care by cultivating strong patient and provider relationships and applying my years of experience to the achievement of exceptional clinical outcomes."
Dr. Stephen Fedec, a board-certified cardiologist with extensive clinical experience, came to Beaufort Memorial Heart Specialists in fall 2020 from Heart and Vascular Care in Johns Creek, Georgia. At the Lowcountry practice he treats patients with acute and chronic cardiac conditions in both its Beaufort and Okatie offices.
Earlier, Dr. Fedec served as the medical director of the cardiac catheterization laboratory at Community Medical Center in Toms River, New Jersey, where he also owned his own cardiology practice for 12 years. Thereafter he was in private practice in Southwest Florida for a decade before relocating to the Atlanta metro area.
The Pennsylvania native began his medical career as an internal medicine specialist, gradually developing an interest in performing procedures that led him to cardiology. He enjoys his specialty’s full range of practice, from its consultative to its interventional aspects. Most of all, he says, he finds it deeply gratifying that his work "can really help patients".
He and his wife, Teresa, have a son and a daughter. In his leisure time, Dr. Fedec, a licensed pilot, likes flying as well as triathlon training and competition, reading and spending time with his family.
