About Mrs. Jaime Cuff
“I believe that quality communication between the patient and the health care professional is the key to providing and receiving safe and effective care. I am a lucky person; I do what I love every day.”
Jaime Cuff, an experienced and board-certified family nurse practitioner, joined the Beaufort Memorial Preoperative Assessment Clinic in fall 2020 following four years at a local women’s health practice.
A well-respected Beaufort Memorial veteran, Mrs. Cuff assisted Dr. Edward Blocker at Beaufort Memorial Orthopaedic Specialists during surgeries and in the clinic from 2013 to 2016. Earlier at BMH, she worked as a transitional-care nurse practitioner, helping to reduce hospital readmissions for high-risk patients, and provided pre- and postoperative care for surgical patients in the hospital’s Post-Anesthesia Care Unit.
Before coming to Beaufort, Mrs. Cuff was an oncology and emergency department nurse in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, treating both adults and children.
A member of the South Carolina Nurses Association board of directors, she is a strong and effective advocate for nurse practitioners and for improvements to health care at the state and local levels.
Besides her and her husband, Scott, the Cuff family includes four children and three dogs. Committed to both family and community service, Mrs. Cuff enjoys time at the beach and taking part in charity walks and runs.
