"I truly enjoy being able to help people and treat their medical conditions. Family medicine in particular allows me the ability to get to know my patients and form lasting relationships with both the patient and their family members. If at all possible, I try to avoid unnecessary medication and find great joy in being able to simplify."

A board-certified physician assistant, Erica Roper came to Palmetto Medical Group in 2016 following four years of practice at a neighboring primary care clinic. At the Beaufort Memorial Physician Partners practice, she is dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illness in adults and children 10 and older. Among her professional interests are disease prevention and wellness and geriatric medicine.

Mrs. Roper’s widely ranging medical training included rotations in family and emergency medicine at Beaufort Memorial facilities.

The Hilton Head Island native married her high school sweetheart, Robby, and the couple have two sons. Together with family and friends, in their leisure time they enjoy all that the Lowcountry has to offer. Besides boating, fishing and camping, Mrs. Roper loves books and movies.
