- Diabetes – A disease that causes insufficient insulin production or response and an excess of blood sugar that can seriously affect the heart, kidneys and eyes.
- Cardiovascular Disease – Disorders of the heart and blood vessels, among them heart attack, stroke, congestive heart failure (CHF) and heart arrhythmia, or irregular heartbeat.
- Depression – A mood disorder characterized by persistent feelings of sadness, loss of interest in daily activities and other emotional and physiological symptoms.

Background
Dr. Vincent came to May River Primary Care in early 2024 from Mountain Region Family Medicine (MRFM) in Kingsport, Tenn., where he had practiced since 1996 and served for six years as president of the medical group’s board. He was associate medical director of State of Franklin Healthcare Associates, MRFM’s parent organization, and a member of its clinical excellence committee.
Several years ago, the Florida native and his wife bought a condo on Hilton Head Island, which he describes as “the best thing we ever did.” Thus he jumped at the opportunity to join the Beaufort Memorial medical staff and make the Lowcountry their permanent home.
Dr. Vincent and his wife, Kristy, a retired nurse, have four sons, a daughter and a grandson. An enthusiastic cyclist and runner, Dr. Vincent says his races are shorter these days and his times longer, but he’s still at it.
