What to Expect
Knowing what to expect before you come to the hospital can help ease concerns about paying for your hospital stay. Many of your questions can be answered during your pre-registration visit.
Your health insurance policy determines the benefits you receive.
This information will be obtained during your pre-registration visit.
If you do not have insurance, you can make payment arrangements by setting up an appointment with our patient financial services staff.
We will bill your insurance as long as we have complete information. You are responsible for charges not paid by your insurance. You can expect additional bills for services provided by:
- Your doctor/surgeon
- Your radiologist – 800-234-7944
- Your pathologist – 855-552-2505
- Your anesthesiologist – 888-537-8533
- Your Emergency Room Physician – 877-248-4846
- Your hospitalist – 877-248-4846
These providers may not be covered by your insurance plan. Please contact them with any questions or concerns at the numbers above.
Is Pre-certification, Pre-Authorization or Second Opinion Required?
If your insurance company requires you to pre-certify (most do), pre-authorize or get a second opinion, please obtain this prior to your surgery date. If your surgery is elective, it may be canceled if financial arrangements are not made beforehand.
